Poole Twin Sails Bridge, Poole, Dorset

As a Poole resident, I love taking photographs in my local area. My favourite locations tend to be include the sea in them, from down at Poole Quay to the quieter, lesser known parts of Poole Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world.

Poole is a popular tourist destination, featuring attractions such as Poole Harbour and Brownsea island, and has miles of sandy beaches. Other attractions include
Poole Quay
Dorset Cruises
Poole Museum & Scaplen's Court
Poole Pottery
Historic Poole Old Town

As well as tourism, Poole has many major employers, including
Hamworthy KSE, Hamworthy Heating, Hamworthy Combustion, Kerry Foods, Precision Disc Casting, Siemens, Southernprint, Sunseeker, Ryvita, and Zellweger Analytics Limited.

Poole also possesses various new and rather exclusive waterside developments, and has future developments such as the Carters Quay to look forward to.

As well as the Poole lifting bridge, there is the now being built new Poole Bridge, called the Twin Sails Project, which will be a spectacular addition to the waterside. The Twin Sails Bridge is due to open at the end of February 2012, and I will post some new photographs once the bridge has been completed.

Poole also has old town charm, and this Autumn I will be exploring these streets for a new project about Poole.

If there is a specific picture of Poole that you are looking for please let me know.
